The Influence of Leadership Style and Work Motivation on the Performance of Soldiers in the Planning Staff of the Iskandar Muda Military Command
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work motivation on soldier performance. Leadership style is the way a leader influences, directs, and mobilizes soldiers to achieve organizational goals. Work motivation is the internal and external drive that encourages soldiers to work better and achieve desired outcomes. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to soldiers in the Planning Staff Unit of Kodam Iskandar Muda. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression. The results of the study indicate that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on soldier performance. Work motivation also has a positive and significant influence on soldier performance. Simultaneously, leadership style and work motivation contribute significantly to improving soldier performance. This study implies that to enhance soldier performance, an effective leadership style and increased work motivation through various supportive programs and policies are required.
